Veyor was introduced early into the works on the Melbourne Connect Project and saw fast uptake by the site team and subcontractors. The project involved multiple buildings around three central cranes, which required a significant logistics coordination effort.
We caught up with Dave Gahan, the Structures Foreman who managed materials handling and logistics on the project, and here is what he had to say:
Veyor logistic software on Melbourne Connect has been invaluable. At Melbourne Connect the logistical aspect of the job was very complex given the size of the site. With 6 loading areas, 3 cranes and non-stop deliveries all day every day, the traditional method of a delivery board would have been a nightmare on this job.
The software is extremely user friendly. All subcontractors have taken to the app and praised it for its ease of use and how they get notified on any changes to their delivery requests.
I would highly recommend this product and look forward to using it on future projects.
